An official promo video for the smartphone has emerged online, which showcases the phone from all angles. It also shows some of the camera features of the Vivo V17 Pro and confirms that it will come with the quad rear camera setup. It also shows the dual pop-up camera setup, which will include a wide-angle sensor. Earlier this week, we revealed that the Vivo V17 Pro would be the first to feature the dual-pop-up camera.

1. Amazon food delivery service to launch in India in September - Amazon will soon start delivering food to your doorstep if a new report is anything to go by. As per Reuters, the e-commerce platform is planning to foray into the fast-growing food delivery business of the country that could further raise competition in an increasingly crowded market. This comes days after the newspaper Business Standard reported that Amazon was in talks to buy UberEats. Reuters could not verify the news independently. Amazon has reportedly started recruiting employees for its new food delivery service and is aiming to launch it as early as September, ahead of India’s month-long festive season.


2. TikTok’s parent company ByteDance confirms it’s developing a smartphone - TikTok’s parent company ByteDance has confirmed that it is currently working on a smartphone. This announcement comes after ByteDance entered a deal with Chinese smartphone maker Smartisan Technology. As per the report by Reuters, the upcoming smartphone is a continuation of earlier plans from Smartisan Technology and not a product that has been developed ground up after ByteDance came onboard. As per Chinese financial news outlet Caijing, the smartphone has already been in development for around seven months and the project is being led by Wu Dezhou, a former executive at Smartisan. Does this mean that the phone won’t entirely be social media-centric? We will have to wait and find out.


3. Redmi K20 Pro gets new ‘Summer Honey White’ colour variant - Redmi K20 Pro‘s new colour variant ‘Summer Honey White’ has been launched in China. The variant joins the already existing Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Fiber Black shades of the handset that were introduced back in May in the country, and later in India. Unlike the other colour options, the Summer Honey White Redmi K20 Pro has a gradient finish on the back and gold finish on the sides and around the pop-up selfie camera. The new colour variant of the Redmi K20 Pro will go on sale in China starting from August 1st. There is no word yet on when the colour variant of the most affordable Snapdragon 855-powered smartphone will be made available in India.

Samsung Galaxy A30s will have triple rear cameras and Infinity-V display - Samsung Galaxy A30s smartphone will debut with triple rear cameras and Infinity-V display, a company insider has informed 91mobiles. The handset is expected to be an iterative upgrade to Samsung’s previously launched Galaxy A30 model, which packs dual rear cameras and Infinity-U display. While there won’t be much difference in the display, the additional sensor will help boost the camera performance of Samsung Galaxy A30s. In addition to this, the source added that the Galaxy A30s production has started in India, which means Samsung could launch it soon. The handset is among the upcoming smartphones Samsung has in the pipeline and was leaked via Geekbench listing earlier this month.


5. Black Shark 2 Pro with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and up to 12GB RAM launched - Black Shark 2 Pro specifications and pricing have just been revealed at the flagship’s launch event in China. The model Pro model is the follow-up to the Black Shark 2, which was launched in India recently. The new offering from the Xiaomi-backed brand has arrived as the world’s second smartphone to flaunt Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855+. The ASUS ROG Phone 2 was introduced as the first phone with the new processor recently. As expected, just like its predecessor, the Black Shark 2 Pro also comes with features like the next-gen Liquid Cooling system to keep the heat down while delivering extreme performance, a TrueView display with high refresh rate, and several optional gaming accessories.

The company has sent a notification regarding the tentative release plans to all top executives based in India. However, Vivo NEX 3 in India will be sold in limited quantities.


2. Apple announces free screen replacement for Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 - The Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 are being replaced by Apple at no cost after the company disclosed that the two older variants of its smartwatch might be susceptible to an issue of cracked displays. The replacement offer stands for a limited period of time and is being put in place because of an apparent vulnerability in the displays on Watch Series 2 and Series 3, which may crack from the edges in what Apple considers to be “very rare circumstances.


3. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro Android 10 Developer Preview 5 update now rolling out - OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro flagships have started receiving Android 10 Developer Preview 5. With this new update, based on Google Android 10 Beta 6, the company is adding new features to the operating system. The latest update brings full-screen gestures, system stability, and functional improvements. However, there are few known issues with the new build as well, including app compatibility issues with applications such as Google Pay and system stability issues. If you are currently running Android 10 (Q) Developer Preview 4 on the OnePlus 7 series, you can now download and install the update right away.


4. Huawei Mate 30 series launch confirmed for September 19th - Huawei posted a teaser on Twitter confirming the Mate 30 launch date. The Chinese giant will be announcing the Mate 30 series at an event in Munich, Germany on September 19th. The Huawei Mate 30 series has seen its fair share of leaks, reports, and renders. We already know what the phone is going to look like thanks to a leak that showed the phone in the wild. The new series is expected to include at least two variants namely, the Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro. A less powerful Mate 30 Lite could also be announced in certain regions.


5. Realme Q has a water-resistant body and 4,035mAh battery with 20W fast-charging - Realme Q series is scheduled to go official on September 5th in China. The first handset from the series is speculated to be a rebranded Realme 5 Pro that was launched in India a couple of weeks ago. This means the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC and pack quad rear cameras with 48MP primary sensor. Now, ahead of the event, Realme CMO, Xu Qi Chase, revealed few more details about the Realme Q. The handset is now confirmed to come with 20W VOOC fast charging support and pack 4,035mAh battery with triple security protection. The Realme Q will also have support for UFS 2.1 storage and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.

Vivo V17 Pro promotional image shows what the world’s first dual pop-up selfie camera - The design of the upcoming Vivo V17 Pro smartphone has been revealed in a promotional image 91mobiles has received from an industry source. It confirms the dual pop-up selfie camera module that we first reported about in July. Apart from this, the new image confirms the Vivo V17 Pro will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. While the front panel is clearly visible in the leaked promotional image, we cannot see the design details of the back panel as easily. Nonetheless, the quad rear camera setup on the back can be observed along with the light blue color and is in line with a previously leaked design. To recall, this is the same hue that we saw in the hands of Salman Khan in the Bigg Boss 13 promo.

Realme XT India launch date is September 13th, will be country’s first 64MP phone - Realme XT India launch date has been confirmed as September 13th by the brand, finally giving fans eagerly awaiting for the country’s first 64MP phone something more to looking forward to. The smartphone will go official in the country at an event scheduled for 12pm on September 13th in New Delhi. The major takeaway from the event will be the Realme XT price in India and launch offers since the device’s specifications are already known. Realme XT (first impressions) had previously been teased to launch in India by September-end, so this news will be a welcome surprise for them.

Jio Fiber plans prices start at Rs 699 per month; free TV with Rs 1,299 and higher plans - Jio Fiber plan prices have been announced by the company, with broadband speeds starting at 100Mbps with the base Rs 699 plan. However, to get the higher 1Gbps speed, subscribers will have to opt for the Jio Fiber plans priced at Rs 3,999 or Rs 8,499 per month. As part of the Welcome Offer, subscribers will get a free HD or 4K TV on Jio Fiber plans priced Rs 1,299 per month or higher — however, they will need to pay at least Rs 29,988 as the JioForever annual offer with the free TV requires an annual commitment; GST will be charged as applicable.


4. Huawei starts beta testing program for Android 10-based EMUI 10 - Last month, Huawei officially announced EMUI 10, which is based on Android 10 and succeeds EMUI 9. The new UI skin comes with several new features such as a Dark Mode, redesigned app icons, and improvements to GPU Turbo. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has announced a new internal recruitment program for the EMUI 10 beta. Interested customers will be able to sign up for the program and if accepted, they can test out the new EMUI 10 software on eligible devices.


5. Nubia Red Magic 3S With Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and 5,000mAh battery announced - Nubia Red Magic 3S gaming smartphone has been officially launched in China. It is the successor to the Red Magic 3 that was announced in April. The Nubia Red Magic 3S sports a 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED display with 90hz refresh rate, HDR support, and is powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. The handset features the same active cooling system that uses liquid cooling and a turbofan with the improved air inlet. The Red Magic 3 also features touch-sensitive shoulder triggers that provide additional hardware buttons. Users can custom map these buttons to their taste.
