1. Apple could reportedly introduce in-display fingerprint scanning on 2020 iPhones - Apple had ditched TouchID in favor of FaceID back in 2017 when it released the iPhone X (Review) and it seemed that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus (Review) would be the last iPhones with a fingerprint-based authentication system. Now a new report has come to light which states that the company could be implementing in-screen fingerprint technology which could be seen on the iPhone as early as 2020.


2. These were the best Android games released in August - Total Party Kill, Pokémon Masters, BattleChasers: NightWar, JRPG on the go August saw some pretty interesting games released for Android, from a brand new Pokémon adventure for mobile and a beautifully crafted JRPG. However, while not as fancy with modern graphics and a compelling story, my favorite August release is Total Party Kill which delivers a rather twisted take on otherwise simple one-screen platformer puzzles.


3. Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL: More evidence for 90Hz display refresh rate - A 90Hz refresh rate should enable smoother scrolling and UI transitions on the new Pixels compared to their predecessors (provided that the processor can keep up). Although the difference might not be immediately visible to the untrained eye, the overall experience of using apps should be more fluid on a 90Hz display. This is because 90Hz refreshes visuals 90 times per second compared to 60 times per second on 60Hz displays.


4. Orange Google Pixel 4 leaks alongside black and white models - On Monday there was no Pixel 4 news but on Tuesday Google’s flagship received FCC approval and by Wednesday Best Buy had started promoting the phone. Thursday’s headlines were dominated by the first Pixel 4 hands-on video while yesterday a bunch of features was detailed. Today, yet another leak has appeared.


5. Apple to live stream September 10 iPhone 11 event on YouTube for the first time - Over the last several years, Apple has gradually been expanding the ways people can tune into its various keynotes. This year, Apple is further expanding its efforts and will stream the September 10th iPhone 11 event on YouTube.

1. Vivo NEX 3 launching in India by Diwali, but in limited stocks - The Vivo NEX 3 flagship smartphone will be launching in India by Diwali, 91mobiles has learned from retail sources. The company has sent a notification regarding the tentative release plans to all top executives based in India. However, Vivo NEX 3 in India will be sold in limited quantities.


2. Apple announces free screen replacement for Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 - The Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 are being replaced by Apple at no cost after the company disclosed that the two older variants of its smartwatch might be susceptible to an issue of cracked displays. The replacement offer stands for a limited period of time and is being put in place because of an apparent vulnerability in the displays on Watch Series 2 and Series 3, which may crack from the edges in what Apple considers to be “very rare circumstances.


3. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro Android 10 Developer Preview 5 update now rolling out - OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro flagships have started receiving Android 10 Developer Preview 5. With this new update, based on Google Android 10 Beta 6, the company is adding new features to the operating system. The latest update brings full-screen gestures, system stability, and functional improvements. However, there are few known issues with the new build as well, including app compatibility issues with applications such as Google Pay and system stability issues. If you are currently running Android 10 (Q) Developer Preview 4 on the OnePlus 7 series, you can now download and install the update right away.


4. Huawei Mate 30 series launch confirmed for September 19th - Huawei posted a teaser on Twitter confirming the Mate 30 launch date. The Chinese giant will be announcing the Mate 30 series at an event in Munich, Germany on September 19th. The Huawei Mate 30 series has seen its fair share of leaks, reports, and renders. We already know what the phone is going to look like thanks to a leak that showed the phone in the wild. The new series is expected to include at least two variants namely, the Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro. A less powerful Mate 30 Lite could also be announced in certain regions.


5. Realme Q has a water-resistant body and 4,035mAh battery with 20W fast-charging - Realme Q series is scheduled to go official on September 5th in China. The first handset from the series is speculated to be a rebranded Realme 5 Pro that was launched in India a couple of weeks ago. This means the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC and pack quad rear cameras with 48MP primary sensor. Now, ahead of the event, Realme CMO, Xu Qi Chase, revealed few more details about the Realme Q. The handset is now confirmed to come with 20W VOOC fast charging support and pack 4,035mAh battery with triple security protection. The Realme Q will also have support for UFS 2.1 storage and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
